Most gluten free snacks are a weird experiment.
Someone took a product, pulled the wheat out, and patched the hole with rice flour, tapioca starch and enough gums to hold it together. The result is drier, sweeter and more processed than the thing it replaced, and it costs more.
If you react to gluten, you already know this. The options are either sad, or they're a protein bar that reads like a chemistry set.
Raised is neither.
Not because we made a gluten free version of something. Because there was never any gluten in it to begin with.
Nothing was taken out. There was nothing to take out.
Raised bars are 3 sources of high-quality protein combined with dates, nuts, seeds, a pinch of pink lake salt . That's the whole idea. It's also, as it happens, a list with no gluten in it.
We didn't start with a wheat-based bar and reformulate it. We started with whole food ingredients because that's what we wanted to eat, and gluten free is simply what that produces.
That matters more than it sounds. A bar built by substitution carries every risk substitution brings: shared equipment, ingredient swaps, suppliers changing their spec without telling anyone. A bar that never contained gluten has fewer places for it to sneak in.
What's actually in them
Made in Australia from ingredients you can name.
- Australian grass-fed collagen protein - around 5g a bar. Collagen is the primary structural protein in ligaments, tendons and cartilage
- Pumpkin seed and sprouted brown rice protein - together a complete amino acid profile. Both naturally gluten free
- Whole dates and Australian sulphite-free fruit - where the sweetness comes from. No syrups, no sugar alcohols
- Nuts and seeds - for fat, texture, and the reason they taste like food
- Australian pink lake salt - sustainably hand-harvested in regional Victoria
Over 12g of protein and around 5g of fibre a bar, with no wheat, barley, rye, oats or malt anywhere near it.
And here's what isn't:
- No gluten
- No wheat, barley, rye or oats
- No malt
- No dairy
- No soy
- No egg
- No GMO ingredients
- No artificial preservatives, colours, or flavours
- No artificial sweeteners or refined sugar
- No seed oils
Every ingredient has a function. Nothing is there to cut costs.
How we know, and how you can check
Australia has the strictest gluten free standard in the world. Here, gluten free means no detectable gluten, not the 20 parts per million the US, UK and Europe allow. It also rules out oats and any malted gluten grain.
That's the standard these bars are made to. Three things get us there.
A dedicated facility
Our bars are made by Food to Nourish in West Gosford, in a production environment that is 100% gluten and dairy free. No gluten ingredients come into the building. There's no shared line to clean down, because there's nothing to clean down from.
Ingredients checked at the source
Every ingredient is verified as free from traces of gluten before it goes anywhere near a batch.
Independent testing
Finished product is tested by DTS Food Laboratories, an independent food testing lab, alongside in-house testing.
What we don't have is a Coeliac Australia endorsement or a formal gluten free facility certification, and we're not going to imply otherwise. What we have is a dedicated site, verified ingredients and third-party testing. If you're highly sensitive, that's the detail you need to make your own call, and we'd rather hand it to you straight than stick a badge on a page.

The 90-Day Money-Back Guarantee
Every Raised product is backed by a 90-day money-back guarantee. Try them. Bring them into your routine. Give them a fair run.
If they’re simply not right for you, contact us within 90 days and return what’s left, even if that’s just a single half-eaten bar. Once we receive it, we’ll refund you in full.
We’ve put serious time and effort into these products, and we stand behind them. The return requirement simply helps us separate genuine requests from freebie chasers.
Again, we only want happy customers, so if they don’t earn their place in your routine, send them back.
already convinced? go bigger.
If you think you're going to like what we do, the mixed box is much better value than the sampler. Four bars of each flavour, so you get to try them all and bring them into your routine for close to two weeks.
This is our best-seller.
The Collagen Mixed box brings you all 3 of our key flavours, just like an old school tub of Streets Neopolitan ( ...that's where the analogy stops though).
This one's for those who like to mix-n-match and keep their flavour options on rotation.
You'll get 12 bars (4 of each flavour) to keep you locked, stocked and snacking properly!
WHEN's the best time to eat them?
Right before training: they have an excellent balance of fast-burning carbs with enough fats and protein to keep you going through any session, without weighing you down.
Right after training: Eat one in the car, on the train, or on your way home. This is where proteins like collagen and minerals, like magnesium and zinc, do their work on the recovery front.
As your energy dips: From a massive workday to the chaos of parenting, training's not the only thing you'll need energy for.
The goal isn’t perfection. The goal is making it easier to support your body consistently.
WHO WE ARE
We're Darcy and Jess.
We’ve spent years running health food businesses and training jiu-jitsu when life allows.
The problem we kept running into was simple: what do you eat after training that doesn’t taste like cardboard or leave you feeling worse?
After talking to people at gyms and across different sports around Australia, we realised this wasn’t just a jiu-jitsu problem.
So we built something better.
Raised bars are made in Australia using real ingredients that support recovery, not cheap filler that happens to be shelf-stable.
If you value movement and want to keep doing it for years (like we do), this is built for you.
Gluten free questions, answered
-
Raised bars contain no gluten ingredients and are made in a 100% gluten and dairy free facility, with finished product independently tested by DTS Food Laboratories.
We're not Coeliac Australia endorsed, and we're not going to tell you what's safe for your body. What we can do is give you the facts and let you decide. If you want the testing detail before you order, email us and we'll send you what we have.

Nothing in them ever contained gluten. No wheat, no barley, no rye, no oats, no malt.
The bars are built from dates, nuts, seeds, Australian grass-fed collagen, pumpkin seed and sprouted brown rice protein, and pink lake salt. Gluten free is what that list produces. It's not something we engineered around.
-
Yes. Our manufacturer, Food to Nourish in West Gosford, runs a 100% gluten and dairy free production environment. No gluten ingredients enter the site at all.
That's a different thing from a shared facility that cleans down between runs. There's no gluten in the building to carry over.
-
Both are. Rice and tapioca are naturally gluten free and are two of the most common bases for gluten free food.
Worth being precise though: these bars are gluten free, not grain free. Sprouted brown rice protein is a grain. If you're avoiding grains entirely rather than gluten specifically, these aren't the bar for you.
-
No. Collagen is a protein from animal connective tissue, in our case Australian grass-fed cattle. There's no gluten in it and no grain involved anywhere.
Some collagen supplements add flavourings or carriers worth checking. Ours is just collagen.
-
That one's real and worth reading. Our bars contain cashews and almonds depending on the flavour, and the line they run on also handles peanuts and sesame, so we declare it.
It has nothing to do with gluten. We flag allergens properly rather than hoping nobody asks, and that applies to the nuts as much as it does to what isn't in the bars.
so, worth a shot?
If you've spent years reading labels in supermarket aisles, you don't need a lecture from us about why that's annoying.
These are bars that happen to be gluten free, made somewhere no gluten goes, tested by someone who doesn't work for us. If that's what you've been looking for, the sampler is three bars and costs less than lunch.
